1. Who we are

Luxurious Travel ("Luxurious Travel," "we," "us," "our") is an independent editorial publication operated by Luxurious Travel Media LLC, a limited liability company organized in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, with offices at One Boston Place, 201 Washington Street, Suite 2600, Boston, MA 02108, United States. This policy applies to the website at luxurioustravel.net (the "Site"). We are the controller responsible for your personal information.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

Information collected automatically

We do not sell travel and take no bookings, so we never collect passport, payment-card or traveler-itinerary details. We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal data.

3. How we use it

Where laws such as the EU/UK GDPR apply, we rely on: your consent (optional analytics; newsletter sign-up); our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the Site; and legal obligation. You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies to run the Site (including one that remembers your cookie choice) and, only if you accept, privacy-respecting analytics to measure aggregate readership. Control this through our cookie banner and your browser. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.

6. How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with service providers who help us run the Site, and only as needed:

7. Advertising

Luxurious Travel is supported by reader subscriptions and, where it appears at all, clearly-labelled advertising. We do not sell travel and earn nothing on commission. We do not currently run third-party behavioral-advertising networks on the Site; should that change, we will update this policy and our Cookie Policy and obtain consent where required. Our editorial independence from advertising is set out in our editorial standards.

8. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary: newsletter data until you unsubscribe; contact messages for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and our records; automatically-collected log/analytics data for a limited period consistent with security and statistics. We then delete or anonymize it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or object to / restrict our processing of your personal information, and to opt out of the newsletter (one click in every email) or optional cookies.

U.S. residents: we do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Residents of Massachusetts, California and other states with applicable laws may exercise the rights above by contacting us. EU/UK residents: you have GDPR rights, including the right to complain to your supervisory authority. To exercise any right, email [email protected]; we may verify your identity first.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is wholly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the U.S. and other countries. If you access the Site from elsewhere, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws differ from yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards.

13. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
